Defining Brava’s Brand Identity and Design Language from the Ground Up
About Brava
Born in 2020 – Brava is a service that allows Corporations to purchase digital gift cards for employee rewards and corporate gifting. Gift cards can be redeemed at a Black-owned business in the Brava network.
As the lead designer, I established the brand’s visual identity across every customer and business touchpoint, creating a cohesive experience spanning the website, CRM, social media, partnerships, investor communications, and business development materials. I led both internal and external creative teams, ensuring consistent brand expression while supporting the company’s rapid growth.
Working closely with the Founder and CEO, I continuously tested and refined the platform’s user experience, messaging, and customer journey. Through iterative improvements to both product and marketing communications, we achieved a triple-digit increase in customer conversion rates within six weeks of launch.
Beyond the product experience, I developed high-impact marketing assets to support fundraising and strategic partnerships, including investor pitch decks, press materials, and branded communications. I also managed creative collaborations with partners such as iHeartRadio and the National Black Chamber of Commerce, producing co-branded campaigns and promotional initiatives that expanded the company’s reach and credibility.
